Mission Accomplish

After 2 weeks of sleepiness nights, my hard works finally pays off. Shannen has quit on her pacifier and so far for the past few days, she no longer wake up in the middle of the night and cry.

The 1st week of quitting was terrible. Shannen would wake up several times each nights and cry for her pacifiers. Sometime I can even sense that she was having nightmares that her pacifiers "ran" away from her. Lolz.... Everything is over now!

Mad Jack Cafe

We were already bored with the foods around us and was planning to have a buffet for dinner tonight. Searched on the website and found that most of them(the buffets) are in town. So we then drove to Jalan Kayu to try and search for some good food instead. Drove pass this restaurant with a huge banner on the door "rib eye for S$13.90 only" We were both attached by the banner and decided to give it a try. We ordered 2 ribeye(medium rare), a grilled fish for Shannen, 1 plate of the 9 inches sausages(comes in 3 pieces) and cheesy mix fries. Total bill was S$57.20. Quite cheap for the serving. Shannen also enjoyed her dinner while watching American Idol.

BBQ On A Rainy Day

Was planning to visit Megan @ the hospital in the late afternoon, but after receiving a message from Sharlene saying that Megan will be discharging today, we then decided to plan to do something else.

We went to Sembawang to get some foods and head back home to have a BBQ. Though the weather wasn't that good, we were still safe under the "shelter" we had installed. Shannen was having great time locking the glass door and had me and Elson locked outside the house. Luckily thing was that we had a bunch of spare keys with us. Lolz...

Mini BBQ pit & our dinner(Korean style lamp chop & pork, giant sausages, salmon, giant tiger prawns, lettuces for the meats)

Subway

We decided to go to West Mall to get our Singnet contract renew so that I can enjoy a free laptop from them. The Q was way too long. So we decided to give it a miss, grab a bite @ Subway before heading home.

Dinner @ In-law's Place

We went to pick up Chloe and then head off to Sharlene's place to fetch all the kids + Sharlene & helper to in-law's place for dinner. Since we were the 1st to reach, we were also given priority to eat 1st. It was a nice gathering and dinner then

26 Months Milestones & Mummy's Birthday

It's been 1 and a half month since Shannen started school. We can see the differences in terms of the way she talks, eat, walk, etc.

Talking - She is able to count from 1 to 10 in English, Mandarin & Hokkien. When I sing the songs which the teachers did in school, she can dance with lots of hand signs (following what the teacher had taught her in school). When we asked her about her friends in school, she will always call out for Anne Marie 1st then follow by Eewan. I think these are her 2 favourites friends there.

Eating - Self-feed mostly by herself for the whole meal. She is also eating supper before her night time milk feed.

Walking - She is also able to climb up and down the stairs faster and she is also able to get down of the bed herself. Before that, I always threaten her that if she goes down by herself, she will fall. So that I can do my things while she sits on the bed. Not for now...

Other Action - She is able to take off both diaper pant and normal diaper by herself and threw them in the bin before showering. Before hand, she will took off her pants 1st. For the t-shirt, still pending for more successful tries. She can also wear her shoe and take them off all by herself in school and upon reaching home.

Figures - She weights heavier now and even Elson cannot carry her for too long. There's some muscle on her small thighs too.

Teacher Susie hand me Shannen's Communication Book on last Friday and left a remarks there(for end of the year reviews) :

Shannen has settled well in her class. Now she become familiar with daily routine. Se is able to participate in all activities. She is also able to imitate simple actions during music & movement. Is able to fix simple puzzles, like animals & shapes. She get along well with her friends and through play she learn social skill, sharing & taking turns. Friendships are formed, self-esteem is build. Is able to follow simple instruction. When she misbehave I will explain why this behaviour is not good and she is able to understand. Sometimes, she is easily distracted (don't worry). This is common respond for children at this age. Overall, she is cute and a smart girl.

Daddy, mummy, Edmund & Huiting took a cab to our place. Before that, Huiting & Mummy had collected the cake which I had ordered from Prima Deli last Wednesday. We went to Bottle Tree Village for an early dinner. Wanted to enjoy the dinner by the sea, but we weren't that lucky. It was pouring heavily and we had to sit inside. Good thing is the rain had brought along some cold wind and so we were enjoying the dinner with no sweat. We ordered sweet & sour pork, fried french beans, hotplate tofu, spring onion beef, garlic chicken, 10 chicken satay & 10 pork satay and finally 2 plates of BBQ sotong. We also had some deserts after dinner. Total bill was $150. Cheap & worth it. Definitely will come again!

We went back to our place for the cake and Shannen of course was very excited to be able to blow off the candles.

Genting Trip Again

Yes... we are going to Genting again. I bet mummy is trying to save some $$ for me that's why she chose to go to Genting. This time, we will have an additional member with us, Edmund. Paid a total of S$707 for 5 adults and 1 toddler(she is free so far, means no seat for her). Looking forward for Genting again at end of the year. Yahoo!

Changi Village

This is the 1st time we have gone to Changi Village as a family. As Shannen kept saying "飞机" for the past few days, so we thought of bringing her there to get some closeup with the aeroplanes there. We settled our dinner @ a western food cafe and ordered a lamb chop(for myself), a pork chop(for Elson) and a grilled fish for Shannen. I would grade the foods as so-so only. Together with 2 drinks, total bill was $50. Not cheap for the kinda quality we got. Anyway, believe this will be the last time we will visit them though the service from the staffs was excellent.

After dinner, we head off to Changi beach till sunset. Shannen didn't want to leave the beach as she was having lots of fun playing with the sand. Lolz...

Bottle Tree Village

After hearing and seeing pics from mummies on Bottle Tree Village, we decided to gave it a try. It was a breezy day and we love dinning by the sea. Shannen loved the slide there. Since it's such a beautiful weather, we decided to dine-in there. Total bill was $55, that include 3 meat, 1 tofu, 3 rice and 3 drinks. Quite reasonable.

After dinner, we sat by the beach to enjoy the breeze. Afterwards, we proceed to Sembawang Park for Shannen's favourite swing.

Can you go over there to take pics of not
